The world-renowned Mauna Kea Beach Hotel is located on Kauna'oa Bay, considered by many to be Hawaii's most picture perfect beach. A vast collection of Asian and Pacific art graces the walls and lush tropical grounds of the property.
Water sports and activities include snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, kayaking, catamaran riding, whale watching and deep-sea fishing. At night, guests step onto a circular lava outcropping overlooking the Bay to watch the manta rays swim beneath.
Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., the Mauna Kea Golf course is home to 18 holes and panoramic ocean vistas over 60 landscaped acres.
Guests are given complimentary admission to fitness centers at both the Mauna Kea and the Hapuna Beach. There is also a kids program for children of all ages.
All guest rooms feature private lanais (balconies)and have open-air designs with natural wood and ceiling fans. Amenities include refrigerators, two Japanese yukatas (robes), two pairs of indoor slippers, bath amenities, high-speed access for a fee and a television.
Special touches of Hawaiin hospitality include a lei upon arrival, a welcome fruit bowl, in-room mini chill box with bottled water replenished daily, nightly turndown and complimentary shuttle service to and from neighboring sister property, the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel.
